Apollo Pest Control travels to Salt Spring Island from our base in Sidney, BC for ant, wasp, rodent, and seasonal pest service. Salt Spring is the largest of the Southern Gulf Islands and the work here covers a real mix — heritage homes near Ganges, rural acreages around Cusheon Lake and Beddis, hobby farms throughout Fulford Valley, waterfront properties along the southern shore, and a growing number of vacation rentals that need pre-season or seasonal pest treatments.
We travel to Salt Spring from Swartz Bay to Long Harbour. For lower trip costs, we encourage scheduling visits on our regular island day so we can combine multiple service calls into a single ferry trip — this keeps pricing reasonable for everyone. If a problem is urgent and can't wait for the next scheduled visit, we can also arrange a private service call to the island sooner.

Salt Spring's mix of working farms, ungrazed pasture, and forested edges means rodent populations are naturally high. We focus rodent service on permanent exclusion at structure entry points rather than ongoing bait dependence — the population pressure outside won't change, so the goal is keeping it out of your buildings.
Every visit follows the same basic approach: inspect first, identify what is actually present, treat at the source, and leave you with practical prevention steps. No upsell on add-ons that aren't useful for your situation.
Use the form at the bottom of this page to describe what you're seeing — what pest, where on the property, how long it's been going on, and any photos that help. We'll review and follow up with timing. Service to Salt Spring Island is via the ferry, so visits are scheduled a few days ahead in most cases.
Tell us what pest issue you are dealing with and Apollo Pest Control will follow up.
